My go-to baby carrier for errands and long shopping trips!
This Carrier gives you so much lumbar support and baby has tons of support as well! My favorite thing is you can create 6 different sitting positions for your little to enjoy as they grow! My 21-month old STILL loves this carrier. For sure top of my list on essential baby items!
Price Range: $55-$65
Each child has their own from birth!
I cannot brag enough about this item or the brand! We are a Graco family for sure and this highchair leaves us with so many options! I migrate both ours around the house to different chairs to accommodate my children’s needs! The tilt feature is great for newborns and the cover is fully and easily removable and machine washable!
Price Range: $12-$13
This has SAVED us many times!
Fridababy has many great products, but this is our saving grace! When you need to give baby medicine, vitamins, anything for them to swallow it’s near impossible, right? NOT WHEN YOU HAVE THIS! With the extended nipple, it bypasses the tongue reflex and allows you to place liquids at the back of the cheek for easy swallowing.
Price Range: $200
The Keurig of bottle makers when formula feeding!
We dreamed about this item several times and decided it was a excessive purchase. My daughter was 9-months old when I bit the bullet and made the investment. That’s exactly what it is…an investment! Two kids have used this and I wish i’d made the purchase sooner. Late night feedings are a BREEZE! I even took it with us on vacation and life was good!
Price Range: $399-$830
My first and favorite baby purchase!
I knew the minute I found out I was pregnant THIS was the stroller for us. The level of versatility was unreal and at the time, unmatched! I purchased the stroller with just one seat and added the car seat adapters (linked) and second seat adapters later. I wish I had purchased with two seats. However, adding a second seat is easy and usually runs about $200, but sometimes they can be found on sale!
Price Range: $8-$25
Two different bottle for two different babies. Each child is different.
Our top choices for our babies! Scarlett was a Comotomo baby all the way, and Ezra had feeding issues. No other bottle accommodated all his problems like the Dr. Brown’s Anti-Colic bottles! They each served a specific purpose for our children. Do your research and try different bottles for each baby. The Comotomo nipple shape accommodated Scarlett’s mouth shape best and the Dr. Brown’s bottles gave us all the anti-colic benefits that Ezra needed.
Price Range: $25-$199
The coziest, softest blankets around!
Minky Couture makes the highest quality blankets for your littles! I purchase a tween sized minky for every baby before their born based on how I feel about them during pregnancy. I later purchase a larger, adult-sized blanket as well. Each blanket serves a purpose for different baby stages. We use our smaller one for one-on-one cuddles and cozy night feedings. The larger blanket serves them well at a later age when they are allowed to sleep with blankets.
Price Range: $13
The more you wash them, the softer they become!
Target’s Cloud Island brand of clothing is where the magic happens! These footie pajamas make life simple with a bottom-to-top zipper. The material only gets better with age and the patterns are so stinking cute and make any baby look comfy cozy!
Price Range: $46
I didn’t know I needed one, until I had it!
Go to the store and look for items to use to peek in on baby while driving. They are typically cheaply made, gimmicky, or don’t have the proper headrest attachments. Fast forward to the future and here comes the baby car monitor! This purchase was a game-changer! We now see live feed of our babies in the car and never have to risk safety looking through a mirror into another mirror.
Price Range: $280-$330
We should have purchased this with the 1st baby.
If I knew then what I know now, this would have been another investment I made with baby #1. I had surgery at 10-weeks postpartum and I used to dream about having the Swivel Sleeper during those times! It makes keeping an eye on your babe easier than ever and the swivel action keeps movement and shifting to a minimum. I can’t speak highly enough about the Halo Bassinest and the ease it brought to our family during my recovery period after baby #2.
Price Range: $20-$30
A baby bathtub molded just for your little one.
Angelcare did the world some good creating this baby bath. The flexibility of the mesh liner cradles your little one and creates a soft surface during bath time! I love how secure my children feel in this bath and it works from newborn all the way up to right before they are supported-sitters! The loop at the top also allows for easy hanging storage and aids in drying to prevent mold and mildew!
Price Range: $10-$12
Cradle-cap be GONE!
Fridababy strikes again with the impecable design of their products! You never have to stress again about ridding your little of craddle-cap while still trying to be gentle. The DermaFrida is made of ultra soft silicone that acts more like a massage for baby than a bath tool. It also works great for patchy skin and eczema!
13. Baby Shusher
Price Range: $31-$35
Easiest way to calm your baby on-the-go.
My daughter always slept like a rock in the car, but my son had stomach issues in the first 3-months of life. The baby shusher was a staple on his car seat and at nap time. He always seemed to be put at ease by the different levels of white-noise and with a 30-minute of 1-hour option, you can’t go wrong!
14. Baby Diaper Bag
Price Range: $28-$30
Every mom needs a diaper backpack!
The sheer amount of storage in this bag alone is a great selling point! I can store diapers, bottles, formula, snacks, extra clothes, and all the toiletries I might need for 2 kids without it becoming over-bearing with bulk! The best part? There is a hidden compartment in the back for your wallet! It keeps me feeling safe and secure knowing I can feel if someone tries to mess with it. Usually nobody even knows it’s there!
Price Range: $154-$200
Easiest carseat to carry and install with baby’s safety 1st.
Not only does this carseat have great quality material, but the designs are always so modern and sleek! Every bit of the cover on the carseat, including the shade, is removable and machine washable. The button to lower the handle is located at the top middle and can be pushed back with just one hand! This feature is what sold me the most on the carseat. Also, the base is the most hassle-free setup i’ve ever seen than anybody can install!
Price Range: $90-$165
Great range of view and so many features!
I love a good baby monitor and this one covers all my needs! It gives great quality viewing, a huge array of sounds and music, and 360 degree viewing! The wall mount allows you to place it in any part of the room for safe baby viewing. You also have the option to speak through the mobile app to communicate with your child or caretaker.
Price Range: $150-$200
Lightweight, portable, compact!
When I approached my husband with this purchase, he scoffed. We had just made a huge investment in the Baby Jogger City Select Lux. However, once I explained this as the “umbrella stroller” equivalent and showed him the vast amount of features and usability, he was on board! This is our quick on-the-go stroller that we take for easy use and when we don’t have a ton of space. It adjusts to fit even the smallest babies, lays back for easy nap times, can be folded with 1 hand, and even comes with a backpack storage case for ease during airport travel or safe-keeping between uses and storage.
Price Range: $370-$400
Every parent needs a good rocker and this does it all!
It rocks, reclines, glides, and swivels! I was very adamant on finding a chair to meet all my needs and this recliner hit them all! The hidden latch to recline keeps you from snagging items as you swivel and the fabric is very forgiving to remove stains. I use ours as backdrops for pictures as well! There is a special kind of comfort associated with the chair you rock your babes in. It’s always important to love what you’re in while you love your babies.
Price Range: $30
Keeps up with recordings so you don’t have to.
A simple thermometer always seemed like the way to go, but I felt in my heart I needed an upgrade. We purchased this for its Bluetooth capabilities to ensure we have a proper log in case anything happened. Fast forward to 1-year after the purchase and we soon fell in love with this feature! Our oldest has febrile seizures associated with high temperatures and this thermometer took the guesswork out of tracking. We could take her temp through the night without having to worry about a log. I always go into Dr visits fully prepared now!
There you have it!
I hope this list of essential baby items serves you well and you find all these items as helpful as my family has! Feel free to email me with any questions and i’d love to hear about your experiences with these products or your own essential baby items!
